Summer Tips To Keep Your Skin Healthy

Protect your skin from harmful sun’s rays by simple preventive tasks. Harmful UV rays destroy skin tissue which leading to aging brown spots and wrinkles. Application of sunscreen will help defend against the sun’s harmful rays, but there are more you can do to help shield yourself from the sun.

Eating right and staying hydrated can do wonders in helping prevent sun damage. Foods rich in antioxidants such as leafy green vegetables, blueberries, cantaloupe and other melons help stimulate your complexions collagen growth. Salmon and egg whites also provide necessary proteins that help facilitate the process of skin repair while providing necessary nourishment.

In addition to the application of sunscreen, be sure to cover up. The most damaging hours of the sun is between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. If the fabric is light and you can visibly see through the material, then UV rays can penetrate it as well. If you prefer to use lightweight fabrics, be sure to apply sunscreen underneath. Along with coverage, utilize a large brimmed hat to keep the sun out of your face and eyes.

If overexposure does occur, start with taking a cool bath or shower to relieve the irritating pain. Apply a cool, soothing aloe lotion to the effected area to maintain skin moisture. Vitamin enhanced lotions and healers may also help speed up skin regeneration. Also, be sure to stay hydrated and limit the amount of further sun exposure.
